Our £69 Package:
As indicated the cost of this all-inclusive package is £69. This cost is based on the premise that the full names of the parents and grandparents for the line to be researched are known. If these are not known we will need to obtain extra birth and marriage certificates to establish these facts. We will charge you the cost price for these (maximum of 2). Please note we do not add any mark-up on this charge.
As the package research is carried out using on-line resources it negates the need for travel or other costs.
Our tailored research service:
For those choosing the tailored service we charge £12 sterling per hour, plus travel expenses and additional costs as applicable. This charge will cover time used for research, travelling (kept to a minimum), identifying documents to be obtained (e.g. search for correct certificates), recording research and data, and producing reports etc. Additional costs include those for certificates, photocopies, digital images and postage as required. These are all provided at cost price.
We will look to minimise all expenses. For example where we can use on-line resources we will, if we can obtain a microfilm or microfiche copy of a record locally (through a local Family History Centre or by post etc) and therefore reducing journey time or travelling distance we will; or if we can share expenses with another client we will. However, there may be occasions where we pre-agree with you that a premier service is required e.g. fast-track certificate ordering where an additional fee is charged at the point of origin. No additional mark-up will be charged by us.
If we reach a dead end, or you decide you no longer wish to continue, or for another reason we cannot progress the research, any unused credit will be refunded.
Although we will make best endeavours to ensure our fees list is up to date, any increases by a third party provider will be passed on.
