We are a close-knit team of three researchers based in Essex and Norfolk, England. We are passionate about family history and have nearly 50 years of experience between us. We often collaborate on difficult assignments as we find that two heads are often better than one. For more about us see The Researchers.

We live and breathe family history, therefore we have a comprehensive knowledge of what resources are available, both on-line, and in other formats to maximise the information that can be gathered about your ancestors.

We have experience in searching many types of records including: Civil Registration; Parish Records; Census Records; Poor Law records; Quarter Sessions Records; Bastardy Bonds; Removal Orders; Manorial Records; Tithe Records; First World War Records; Public Record Office Searches; Trade Directories; Old Newspapers; Shipping Records; Immigration Records and many many more.

Tracing your family history costs money.  Our experience means costs are kept to a minimum through such things as:

  • making less expensive mistakes e.g. less risk of ordering the wrong birth/marriage/death certificates, or following the wrong family line.
  • if you are taking advantage of the £69 package, any certificates needed to authenticate the line are included in the price as is access to on-line census records – these require a subscription or pay-per-view charge, but our package service absorbs these costs for you.

We are also well versed in the use of original, microform and on-line records. We keep up to date with new resources through specialist journals and publications, subscriptions to on-line resources as well as frequent web-searches. This helps ensure that our tailored service clients do not incur unnecessary expenses e.g. where new on-line resources become available negating the need for expensive travel.
